I’m Chris, part of the husband and wife team, Chris and Becca Photography. My wife and I spend a good amount of time talking about where we should be putting funds for our business and for fun. But the one thing we never have to ask each other about is spending money on education and self-improvement. My wife knows that I wouldn’t want her to hesitate before getting anything she believes would help her become a better boudoir photographer or business owner.
I’ve purchased a lot of courses, e-books, audiobooks, and apps over the years. And yeah, sure, some of those books – I don’t even know where they are right now, but they were important to my growth when I first got them.
And nothing is more valuable than investing in yourself!
So if you’ll humor me for just one moment, allow me to explain why you should trust me…

Let me tell you the single biggest reason we’ve had the success. It’s because we weren’t scared to invest in ourselves and change for the better.
CHANGE is such an important part of that. Actually practicing the business and photographic lessons you learn makes all the difference. Quite frankly, you can jump past other photographers who are shooting the same thing the same way every weekend and not sure why their “practice” isn’t making them better. Taking in new information and perspectives is key to finding exactly what your best photography looks like.
Initially, I had to learn to act and not wait too long. Just because you might not memorize all 1500 boudoir poses doesn’t mean you should hesitate to buy it. Don’t wait for the perfect time when your schedule is perfectly free, because then it will never happen. The important thing is to look to add even just 1 pose to your arsenal and commit to an attitude of always improving.
