Shaunae Teske is a boudoir photographer in Green Bay Wisconsin. Today we’re showcasing her shoot with Cassandra (who reminds us of a Hollywood movie star!) Shaunae has photographed Cassandra five times and has loved her experience each time. In her words, “Every shoot with her is fresh and wonderful. She has such a positive energy and my heart always feels lighter after our time together. Just talking with her makes me smile! Consider yourself lucky if you ever get to meet her. She is truly a gift to our world.”

Although early on in her pregnancy, Cassandra was pregnant during this particular shoot. According to Cassandra, [having a child] “is a most selfless thing to not only share your body with another living soul but to surrender control of it completely. Motherhood is indeed one of life’s greatest gifts, but that of course comes at a price. For parts of oneself must be laid to rest in order to make way for new life. It is a common misconception that children destroy our bodies when in truth they help them evolve perfectly. From the empty shell of our old selves, we emerge stronger and more beautiful than ever before. No woman should be made to feel ashamed during this time, as if she needs to be hidden away. Our ever changing forms remind us of the true strength and power that we are capable of, because it is within our weakest moments that we discover that our greatness knows no bounds. With each struggle we face, we must find the courage within ourselves to persevere not only as individuals but as a whole. From Maiden to Mother, Mother to Crone every stage of a woman’s existence should be glorified and honored to the highest regard.”
